New optoelectronic devices for the Near and Mid-Infrared spectral range open completely new possibilities for portable sensors creation. Using infrared LED-PD optopairs allows developing an instrument that is smaller, less expensive and energy-saving.

The Skolkovo Innovation Center is tasked with concentrating intellectual capital and encouraging the development of various technologies. Skolkovo was announced on 12 November 2009 by then Russian president Dmitry Medvedev. The complex is headed by Viktor Vekselberg and co-chaired by former Intel CEO Craig Barrett.
